Harvest Box Policies

When you sign up for a Harvest Box , you’re agreeing to these terms:

  • The main season is 15 weeks starting in June and ending mid September. Our target start week in 2021 is the week of June 14, but it depends on the weather. The Fall season is 5 weeks starting the end of September. 
     
  • The box price is $22 per week, which equals $330 for the season.
     
  • Each week’s box will typically contain 7-9 items.
     
  • When you sign up, you’re agreeing to pay for your share and submit your payments on time. You can pay the full amount up front — which is a big help to the farm — or pay a deposit at sign-up and then monthly installments. The payment options are cheque, e-transfer or cash. If a payment is missed, we will notify you to discuss, and not deliver any more boxes until the payment issue is resolved.
     
  • You have the ability to customize your box before we harvest it. Two days before you get your veggies, we’ll email you a newsletter that specifies what will be in your box, and you’ll be able to use an online shopping cart to swap items in or out. You’ll have 24 hours to make changes. If you don’t make any changes, then you’ll receive the default box.
     
  • You also have the ability to purchase extra vegetables each week from our online store, depending on what’s available from the farm.
     
  • You’re responsible for picking up your box every week (unless you opt for home delivery), or designating someone else to pick up your box for you.
     
  • If you’re going out of town, or will be otherwise unable to pick up your box, please notify us no later than the Sunday before the pick-up. We will hold your box that week, and add $22 to your balance. You can spend down your balance over time by purchasing extra items, or you can request a double box for a future delivery. If you do not spend the credit accumulated from putting your box on hold it will not be refunded.
     
  • If you have a leftover balance at the end of the season, it does not carry over to the next season.
     
  • If you miss a pick-up (without scheduling a vacation hold beforehand or contacting us to let us know you are running late) your veggies will be donated.
      
  • Cancellations: if you need to cancel your subscription, email us at annie.wilby@gmail.com. If you cancel your subscription after the first delivery, then we will issue a refund on a pro-rated basis. This means we will issue a refund for weeks that have not yet happened. A refund will not be issued for credit that has accumulated from putting your box on hold. 
     
  • Refunds: if you are dissatisfied with the Harvest Box for any reason and would like to cancel, then we will issue a refund on a pro-rated basis.
